After 20 years working in higher education institutions throughout Southern California, Brian pivoted his career path to serve as a resource for students and families seeking guidance through the college search process as an independent educational consultant. Inspired by the opportunity to help others, he provides a personalized and service-oriented approach to the college search process for each client. By empowering students to lead the process with an open-mind, Brian injects positivity and authenticity into his interactions with clients.
 
Growing up in the Pasadena area as the son of a college administrator and an elementary school teacher, Brian was destined to pursue a career in education. After graduating from Claremont McKenna College with a major in economics and psychology, he received an MBA from the University of Southern California and returned to Claremont McKenna College to start his career. 
 
Over the past 20 years, in addition to completing his Ph.D. in Higher Education, he has served in a variety of administrative leadership roles at Claremont McKenna College, Claremont Graduate University, and Chapman University that have included oversight of program admissions at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has also developed a knowledge of public and private colleges and universities around the world that enables him to provide a unique perspective to clients while helping them identify best-match colleges and submit high-quality applications.

Brian recently completed the Independent Educational Consultant Certificate program at UC, Irvine while becoming a WOW-certified essay coach. He is excited to leverage these professional development experiences to help his clients through the college search process.
